The Story of Stuff Project is based in Berkeley, California and aimed at raising international awareness on diverse environmental subjects like consumption, recycling, plastic pollution and human footprint on natural resources.  Their journey began with a 20-minute online movie starred by Annie Leonard (founder and current Greenpeace USA director) about the way we make, use and throw away all the Stuff in our lives. Five years and 40 million views later, SOS is a Community of 750,000 changemakers worldwide, working to build a more healthy and just planet.

For the 2014 holiday season (from Thanksgiving to Christmas, with consumerist Black Friday in the middle) Story of Stuff started a campaign named “Buy less, live more“; inviting users to upload their photos of alternatives to shopping during this period. Poster Poster´s team member Gus Morainslie designed and illustrated a poster for the campaign which can be downloaded in english and spanish in SOS blog.
