For this Poster Monday spot we are featuring a poster designed by Andaç Yılmaz from Istanbul, Turkey. Andaç is a graphic design final year student at Yeditepe University who is interested in a career in illustration.
The poster we are featuring here is called “Deficiency”. About 15% of the world’s population lives with some form of disability, of whom 2-4% experience significant difficulties in functioning. Disabled people have characteristics which vary on the individual that may include physical or mental issues that are unique in nature. Sadly, a lot of disabled people are treated as if they all need extra assistance or attention which can ironically result in the person feeling isolated from the rest of society. “In this poster, my goal is to show that they are no different from anyone else. I have tried my best to empathize and understand this touchy subject and bring light upon it” says Andaç.
Wait for the next Poster Monday spot, if you would like to submit a poster to be featured on Poster Mondays find all the info you need to participate in our submissions page.
