Poster Monday: Dream about Memphis
The second Poster Monday spot of the day belongs to Jannete Mark, a graphic designer from Moscow, Russia for her poster “Dream about Memphis”. Jannete always find herself inspired by Memphis experiments, loves art and abstract painting.
As for everyone who participates in Poster Monday we asked Jannete a few question about her work and the backstory of this poster and what she said simply has no waste. “I really like everything that Memphis group have done. Once I was interested to see for how much you can purchase their work and after spending a few hours on the site I was sadly looking at prices, I could not buy anything but I wanted to capture the moment of this desire.”
“Througt a collage I tried to convey the excitement that came over me when I was watching their store and although I can not say that the desire of buying one of their work has gone it has brought me the feeling of owning.”
Posters like “Dream about Memphis” for Jannete are a great way to explore her own desires, to learn and grow. It is the boundless space for experimentation and emotions, in her case nurtured by the Academic School of Graphic Design and from the masters of Russian design, such as Yuri Gulitov, Peter Bankov, Sergey Serov and other amazing masters of their craft.
