Poster Monday: Muerte Natural
The second Poster Monday spot of the week entitled “Muerte Natural” comes from Mexico and it belongs to Ana Laura Pasilla. Ana Laura was born in Puebla, Mexico where she studied “Edición y comercialización de libros” at the “Universidad Iberoamericana de Puebla” and Graphic Design at the “Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla”. She is currently working on a Editorial company designing mainly academic books and ads.
The poster “Natural Death” was one of the finalist posters of the international poster competition “To death with a smile” organized by MUMEDI (2009-2010). “The main concept of the poster is the idea of an exaggerated consumerism where we extend food’s life by using conservatives that eventually we will consume, paradoxically, avoiding natural death and dying from slow poisoning.” says Ana Laura.
For Ana Laura designing posters is a great opportunity to conceptualize ideas and to generate a response from the viewers. If you would like to learn more from her and her work follow these links to her facebook and behance profile.
