The concept of the poster “Radio Universidad 40th Anniversary” is based on the image of the Tower of the University of Puerto Rico, at the Rio Piedras Campus. The idea is inspired by Radio Universidad’s station (UPR’s official station) located in one of the areas of the campus. “When I was making several sketches for the poster, I used the tower as the center, where the graphic elements give it the appearance of a radio. By integrating all the graphic components, I achieved a final design that highlights the Tower as an emblem and symbol of the University of Puerto Rico, emerging in style and appearance from the radio image, as seen in the final design” those who know and have seen the tower of the University of Puerto Rico will make an immediate reference to Radio Universidad” tell us John. The station is the official one in communicating the Puerto Rican culture, activities and academic events of the University.
