For the Poster Monday spot of the day we are featuring a poster from Canada entitled “Respire” designed by Nick Ibrahim. Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the Multidisciplinary School of Image Arts (Université du Québec en Outaouais). During his university days, Nick was interested mainly in illustration and its different applications in graphic design. Nick creates images with a poetic, sensitive, and spontaneous vision.
“Respire” is the winning poster of the 2017 Semaine de la promotion de la vie et de la prévention du suicide contest organized by Centre d’aide 24/7 in Gatineau, QC, Canada. The purpose of this poster is to raise awareness of suicide prevention and to help people push through their pain, fear and depression. Nick’s goal was to create a strong and simple image while considering the psycho-emotional reactions of the visual language. “Life is not always predictable and recognizing our own fragility is a way of recognizing our strength at the same time,” says Nick.
If you would like to submit a poster to be featured on Poster Mondays you can find all the information you need to participate on our submissions page.
