Poster Monday: Sexual Abuse
For this first Poster Monday spot of the week we are featuring a poster from the spanish designer David Criado entitled “Sexual Abuse”. David studied Graphic Design in Spain where he specialized in posters, branding and typography. He participated in several exhibitions in different countries around the world winning national and international prizes. His work has been published in different books and magazines. Currently he is working as Creative Director in a graphic design study from Madrid.
He designed this poster (“Sexual Abuse”) hoping it would bring some serious consideration over such a sensitive topic after hearing in the news about a case of child abuse in Granada involving several catholic priests.
“I’ve always liked to design social posters because the expression is a basic need for a designer and sometimes the work we do for our clients are not enough for a soul voracious of freedom of expression. As a book for a writer, a column for a journalist, a piece of art for an author, we search for an opportunity where one can make a point of view, an opinion, positive or negative criticism, a form of expression. Where I find this opportunity is in graphic expression, more specifically in a social poster.” says David to posterposter.
