Poster Monday: The Fox
For the second Poster Monday spot of the day we have a poster from Piotr Śliżewski entitled “The Fox”. Piotr was born in 1987, in Białystok, Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Graphics at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Poland. Diploma with Master’s degree in 2014, in graphic arts, poster and drawing. Currently lives and works in Warsaw.
“The Fox” (in polish “Lis”) is a theater poster. It is based on Marta Guśniowska story from The Bialystok Puppet Theatre (Poland). The play is about the history of the main actor-fox. After his death, he goes to the a between heaven and earth. Is a story full of humor, absurd and memories of erotic adventures with women (not for kids).
“For the design process I was thinking about few elements. For me was very important to make atmosphere of the play, not only idea or strong form. I had seen scenography, actors in action, I had knew what is about, before I made poster. I decided to do it only with traditional medium – it matches to The Bialystok Puppet Theatre. So I pulled out cardboard and painted it. The poster is a little bit mix media, because there are also drawings elements. The only thing which I made in computer is sign Lis (The fox).” says Piotr.
Piotr comments that poster design is proper for his personality since he loves creating short and strong visual messages for our social and cultural life. Visit Piotr personal pages, he has a poster blog, a drawings blog and a official artistic website at piotrslizewski.com. Enjoy.
