Poster Monday: The Persian Art Week
For the first Poster Monday spot of february we have a poster made by Peyman Arfania from Iran for the poster entitled. Peyman is a designer that we had already presented, he has a master’s degree in graphic design from the University of Tehran who, in addition to designing posters as a freelance, teaches design and gives design courses to Afghan refugees in Iran.
The Persian Art Week is the poster presented today, the event features Iranian painters from Behzad to the present day. On the last quarter of the 15th century Behzad developed miniature painting with a refined decoration, expanding the range of variations and styles considerably and creating, in addition to illustrations, easel paintings and portraits, Peyman’s poster takes up that tradition and brings it to the present day by reinterpreting the portrait of with a colorful geometric abstraction.
