Poster Monday: The sparkle of youth
The second Poster Monday spot entitled “The sparkle of youth” comes from Japan and it belongs to Kei Sato. Kei was born in Tachikawa-city, Tokyo, Japan in 1983. Graduated from Musashino Art University with a degree in Visual Communication Design currently works as a graphic designer / art director at Recruit Communications Co., Ltd.
The poster “The sparkle of youth” was designed for the internet service “MAJIBU” which provides free activities for the people from 19 to 22 years old. For designing the poster Kei used just two colors which are black and a opaque white over an holographic paper so that it could shine with millions of colors.
The number of “MAJIBU” users has exceeded 100,000 now. “I’d like to lead more young people to use this service throughout my art direction, therefore I tried to express the brightness and briskness of them with this poster. Poster is the soul of design. Design is the tool to solve a problem.“ says Kei.
