Poster Monday:”Plastic Free”
For this monday we present the poster “Plastic Free” that comes from Turkey and is the work of the young designer Ece Batur, that studies at Yeditepe University. “My primary purpose in making this poster was making people recognize how dangerous the situation is, but people almost see the case as a joke. So I try to create a naive, almost feels like I children book illustrator style poster to make people realize even if we build this ignorant way of living and ignoring the real facts, they are still there, they are still severe” says Ece.
This poster, unfortunately, inspired from the mess as we humans did to our oceans. Plastic use is widespread in our society. We use plastic for everything; we drink through it, we pack our foods, cosmetics, clothes shortly everything. Really are these all necessary? We have to ask. Oceans are like our lungs with all the seaweeds. They contain so many wildlife and we have no right to destroy their home. We ignore the facts our mother nature, so desperately tries to show. We all have to remember that it is not just their home; it is also ours, and it is our responsibility to protect it. It is time to stop using plastic and protect our world from its much harm. We need a plastic-free world!
Remember to submit your poster for the next edition of Poster Monday. Find all the info you need in our submissions page, and facebook. If you would like to see more projects from Ece Batur visit his personal behance page.
