The popular website So Bad So Good has compiled a collection of extremely rare, never-seen-before Star Wars movie posters, created by graphic designers from different countries around the world. The original Star Wars trilogy was (and remains) a worldwide phenomenon. To promote each new movie, local graphic designers were employed in each international territory to create posters in their native language. They were given a limited set of illustrations to use (either as a guide or to rearrange) but little creative direction there after. They were tasked with producing a poster that would resonate and suit their market, wherever that was in the world. Because digital distribution was not readily available in the past, these posters were rarely seen outside their native territories, and have since become highly sought-after collectors’ items.
