Last year the world of design suffered a tragic loss when the legendary Massimo Vignelli passed away. To commemorate and celebrate his work SuperWarmRed Designs has released a limited edition poster of Vignelli’s 2012 New York City Subway Diagram. The poster is an updated version of his iconic 1972 subway map updated by the designer to “reflect the current subway system, colors and nomenclature” This new version is also “informed by satellite data and rebuilt for greater clarity and legibility”. This poster, which will become part of the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection, can be purchased for US$300 here. There will also be signed editions selling for aprox. US$1,200.
