Elegant & Minimalist Swiss-Style Posters Of Iconic Films
The graphic design website Swiss Style Design has published a collection of elegant and minimalist posters of iconic films. The posters are designed in the vein of the International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style, a graphic design style that originated in Switzerland in the 1950s that emphasizes “cleanliness, readability and objectivity.” Characteristics of these posters include “asymmetric layouts, use of a grid, sans-serif typefaces like Akzidenz Grotesk, and flush left, ragged right text.” Some of the reinterpreted posters include classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Shining, Reservoir Dogs and Taxi Driver.
