Poster Monday: Armenia lovin it
Nuriman Zakiroghlu from Azerbaijan is the author of the Poster Monday that we present today “Armenia lovin it”. He is a freelance graphic designer specialized in visual communication and visual solutions. Nuriman currently works as a graphic design instructor.
This poster was created as a sign of protest against the one-sided position of brands such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Papa Johns in Azerbaijan during the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia in late 2020. The poster shows a map of Azerbaijan and McDonald’s bombs falling from Armenia to Azerbaijan. One of these bombs refers to a war zone, and the other to the civilian cities of Azerbaijan, which are not war zones, bombed by Armenia. McDonald’s, which started this in Azerbaijan, criticized other brands’ position in this challenging time for the country. As a consequence of invalid Armenian propaganda, famous brands’ erroneous and unfair position is clearly expressed in McDonald’s slogan (armenia lovin’ it) related to the corresponding situation.
