Poster Monday: Creativity Has No Bounds
For the first Poster Monday spot of October we have a poster coming from Oslo, Norway entitled “Creativity Has No Bounds” designed by Umer Ahmed. Umer was born in Pakistan and moved to Oslo, Norway in 2004 and he has been living there since. He recently graduated from Westerdals Oslo ACT with a BA degree in Graphic Design. Umer has a huge passion for Editorial, Branding, Typography and Poster Design.
This Poster about Bipolar Disorder is for one of SOD’s (Social Oriented Design) projects regarding Mental Health. SOD was contacted by the psychiatric department from Ullevål Universitetssykehus in Oslo, and they wanted aid to help them make the topic of mental health less hard to discuss and talk about socially, and at the same time spread the unknown facts about the different mental disorders provided by the psychiatric department. SOD is a group that investigates the possibility of solving socially related problems through graphic design. “ I believe that as a graphic designer I have a responsibility to better communicate the issues that surround us in our everyday lives, we graphic designers can do more than just make pretty things” says Umer.
If you wish to know more about SOD (Social Oriented Design) you can do so right here, and if you would like to see more proyects from Umer visit his personal website.
