Poster Monday: Crows Partitur
The second Poster Monday spot of the day goes to Uran Limani from Pristina the capital of Kosovo for his poster “Crows Partitur”.
Uran is 36 year old and he has been selected for many design competitions and exhibitions. We will mention just a few: “Galeria Koha” and “Galeria e Pallatit te Rinisë” solo exhibition, “Ekspozitë studentore, Galeria Vizioni Prishtinë” and “Ekspozitë studentore, galeria Vizioni Prishtinë” group exhibition. He also received the awards for his work on illustration from the “ISLAMIC ART” 2008, “ISLAMIC ART” (study EBRU on turkey ) 2009 and awards for postage stamp design on “10 vjetori i Reçakut” 2009 and“ Mbrojtësit e Lirisë” 2009.
“The expression Crows partitur in my country comes as an expression of concern and reality. We are used to hear the birds singing… they represent a season full of sun, life and hope… but in my country now the only birds singing are the crows. All other birds have gone somewhere else… This is the reflection on my poster. Probably this is related with the problems we have in Kosovo, a non-ecological life, cities full of smoke, poverty and corruption” says Uran.
