Poster Monday: Hate
For June’s first Poster Monday spot we are featuring a poster designed by Juan Miranda from Buenos Aires, Argentina entitled “Hate”. Juan is a 46 years old graphic designer, also graphic design professor at FADU/Universidad de Buenos Aires since 1999.
The poster featured above entitled “Hate” tries to make visible something disguised; this poster is about how social networking sometimes spread hate, how human communication which should bring us all together can become the opposite, when hashtags become hate symbols. The poster is an attempt to point the fact that social networking sometimes is Unsocial and a vehicle of violence. “I think poster design is central to graphic design, it’s the ultimate design object because of its complexity, because it evolves common good, being an individual object that can become property of the many in terms of meaning and relevance” says Juan.
Remember to submit your posters to be featured in our coming editions of Poster Monday.
