Poster Monday: Pencil
For the first Poster Monday spot of this week we have a poster from USSR designed by Vladimir Pomytkin entitled “Pencil”. Vladimir was born in the USSR, in the Russian republic and studied graphic design in Kiev (Ukraine). He is a member of the Union of Designers of Russia and the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine.
Vladimir has been selected & participated in competitions and biennials such as the Moscow International Biennale of Graphic Design “Golden Bee11”, the 9th International Eco-Poster Triennial “4th Block” and the International Graphic Design Festival in Haapsalu.
The poster “Pencil” was designed as a response to the events that took place in paris, France the morning of January 7, 2015 at Charlie Hebdo. “I like to work in this kind of design because it gives you the ability to communicate and educate.” says Vladimir.
