The first Poster Monday spot of the day belongs to István Horkay  from Hungary for his poster entitled Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We decided to let our Poster Master István Orosz tell you a little bit about István Horkay: “freelance graphic artist, poster designer, animator and filmmaker has a great significance in Hungarian cultural life and his international fame as a designer is also well-known. He works in an extremely conscious way, for him, to be up-to-date and to be modern mean the constant analysis and courageous innovations of the thematic and formal elements, and also the consequent avoidance of the usage of common place In his home-country, that is, in Hungary, he is an active member of the Poster Association”.

About his poster István says “Along the borders of dreams I found for you the sacred poisonous heart and golden door” is a phrase taken up Sacred Heart is Dio‘s third studio album  Sacred Heart, as well as also referring to the group Shakespears Sister.
