For the October’s last Poster Monday spot, we are featuring the work of Javier Iglesias, the poster “Stop!” Javier was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since the early 1990s Javier tells us that is lucky to work on what he like most, making Graphic Design. “If it had not been for the design, I would have been a frightening musician. I love music. Poster is absolutely my great passion. The famous fist in the eye; of admiration with Cassandre, Fukuda and Milston Glaser. I do not exercise it professionally. But it is always my point of attention in any aspect of visual communication”.
The poster that we are featuring here today entitled “Stop!” become aware of government officials and heads of state to meet fair social demands, asks to restore social peace and stop the brutal repression in the globalized world; especially in the case of Chile where social movements have been violently repressed in violation of human rights. Ask those responsible for government and heads of state to become aware to meet fair social demands that will create a fairer world for all.
