Ready for the World Cup?
With members from all over the place it’s sure to be a fun summer for the Poster Poster team as we cheer for our favourite teams. So to get in the mood we would like to share the project by New York City-based graphic designer James Campbell Taylor where he reimagines World Cup posters from 1930 to 2014.
Taylor takes a look back on 84 years of poster design, putting his own imprint on the artwork of each tournament while staying true to the feel of the original. With their lovely vintage aesthetic and distinct style, the striking posters celebrate the history of graphic design while paying homage to the beautiful game.
View the entire collection at Taylor’s website, and see the original posters that inspired his project here.
