Poster Monday: Digital Anxiety – The Dark Side of the Net
The second Poster Monday spot of october is entitled “Digital Anxiety – The Dark Side of the Net” and belongs to Matias Verteramo from Rio Negro, Argentina. Matias has been studied in two art schools and now is working on a freelance basis with a social commitment to design.
Matias explains the concept for his poster “Digital Anxiety – The Dark Side of the Net is based on the idea of using new technologies as fashion to be exposed all the time, this causes joy or frustration to others; excess use and that this causes, when humans communicate with each other; isolation, stress, depression, phobias, the ‘hyperconnection’ where everything happens instantly, and broke the distance barrier and the relationship between us as people and technology, and you may be online at all times and in all places. I hope, with my poster, propose to other people hyperconnection the idea of excess, the excessive use, and try to continue to engage without being dependent on it”.
