The Street Store was an initiative created in 2014 in South Africa, in collaboration with the Napier Haven Night Shelter. In this campaign posters are much more than a medium used for visual communication, and they gain a very important and equally unusual function. The posters are used as hangers for clothes donated for homeless people who need them. The creators of this campaign made it open-source; it started in South Africa and later people in other countries adopted the initiative. That’s how Street Stores appeared also in Belgium, Malaysia, USA, Brazil and Mexico. Just check the video!
