Girlhood: A poster project celebrating confidence and diversity.
Girlhood project is a poster project hosted by the Graphic Designers of Canada (Vancouver Island) that looks to celebrate confidence & diversity by creating a diverse collection of posters for schools and public spaces.
The project is divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 saw the creation of posters by 8 graphic designers, launched at a public event at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Canada on October 2, 2014. Phase 2 (currently in progress) is to get feedback on these posters and then refine them accordingly. Phase 3 will start in 2015 and involves printing a larger quantity of the finished posters, and provide them for free to schools, rec centers and other public spaces.
