Honor the Treaties
Photographer Aaron Huey, started, in 2011 an incredible street art project, with artists Ernesto Yerena and Shepard Fairey. The project called: Honor the Treaties, is dedicated to raise awareness about the sad history of broken treaties between Indigenous Tribes and United States Government. Huey began the project with a photographic documentation about the Lakota people and the Pine Ridge Reservation in the Black Hills of South Daokta. Then, with the collaboration of Yerena and Fairey, they created images and spread them all over the web and cities as Seattle and New York. This activist artist ask the public to share this images looking to educate and build a community dedicated to justice and freedom.
