Poster Monday: Basic
For the first Poster Monday spot of October we are featuring a poster from Miriam Espacio “Basic” a personal project for started to work on different techniques and not get rusty with tools. She is a graphic designer & art director born in Barcelona, Spain. Miriam has been working on marketing, communication and design agencies for 11 years now, creating and conceptualizing graphic lines and campaigns, branding, web and apps, editorial, packaging and content creation.
“I was looking to illustrate the word basic and started with some Bauhaus ideas (geometry, color, and form) and then I found on my research process the beautiful sculpture image and the expression of their bodies shouting “sooo basic”, the attitude. I thought it was perfect to start the poster again. I usually create 2 o 3 versions of each poster, so I can choose which one expresses better a concept or an emotion. The poster does not have always to promote something; I can say that sometimes we just want to see something nice, something pleasant. Since I started working as a graphic designer I’ve worked behind brief and clients, in my free time I like to explore just with a concept or an idea. If possible write a few lines talking about yourself, where did you born, study and work, Share the address of your website or social network. I like to dig deep on projects, provide visual tools, and rethink ideas” says Miriam.
