Poster Monday: Beauty
The second Poster Monday spot of the day belongs to Jefimija Kocic from Serbia for her poster entitled “Beauty”. Jefimija was born in 1992 in Niš, Serbia. She finished her studies at the Faculty of arts in Niš, department of graphic design in 2014.
The poster “Beauty“ was made in 2015. It represents a little girl who wants to be in the center of attention but it is also an ironic way to talk about the desire of every single person from the 21st century to be cool, famous and beautiful. “Beauty“ is one of the posters from the series called “TrashBook-chapter 21st”, where Jefimija talks about the major problems from our century whether they are personal or social problems.
“I noticed that people don’t care about the important things of life such as family, education and love… they only care about money and their external appearance, this is why I took this name (Trash Book-chapter 21st) for my design concept.” says Jefimija.
Jefimija designs on a daily basic. It “feeds” her soul. For her, designing posters is the best way to give opinions and to tell a story without even saying a word. “It’s all about choices, minimalism, photography, collage… whatever you imagine can become a poster”
