Dani Rabaza born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1981, is our first Poster Monday designer of the day. After working in screenprint workshops, printing houses and graphic design studios he started his own studio, called Münster.

Dani has been designing posters even before he studied graphic design, making them for his own bands shows. When he started his studio, posters were (and still) a big part of his job, since the studio specializes in music related design (record sleeves, posters, t-shirts, etc). “I really love the format, the way you have to go to the core of the idea and the relationship between the image and the text” says Dani.

The poster I Prefer Goya to keep me awake rather than any asshole was commisioned for Perro de Compañía, a new theater company based in Zaragoza, Spain. The company has an avantgarde philosophy and they wanted to avoid the classic theater poster. The play, also, has a very punk edge and it´s pretty irreverent. Goya acts like a starting point, as an historical reference of the critique to society and morality. Dani used the owl as a Goyesque symbol as the Company didn’t want to use the human figure of the artists.
