Poster Monday: The Last Tree
For the third Poster Monday of the month we have a poster from Alican Kaya, the poster is titled “The Last Tree”. He is 21 years old and lives in Istanbul, graduated from the Istanbul Ayvansaray University. Alican work as a jr art director his works are mostly on illustration, motion design and poster design.
The concept behind the poster “The Last Tree” is that the uncontrolled urbanization around the world harms nature more and more every day, and the damage is in many ways for example: the local communities loses the system that performed valuable but often under-appreciated services like ensuring the regular flow of clean water and protecting the community from flood and drought or cause social phenomena where environmental deterioration can leave people as environmental refugees. “I created a design series about them to raise awareness about cutting down trees due to unconscious urbanization. While making these designs, my aim was to make people more sensitive about this subject” says Alican.
