Poster Monday: Na Zha
The first Poster Monday spot of the day belongs to Zhang Tong from China for his poster entitled “Na Zha”. Zhang Tong is a Master of Fine Arts of the Capital Normal University and a friend of Ico-D. He is a visiting professor at Beijing Vocational College of Agriculture, Research Fellow at the Shandong University of Art & Design and Anhui Polytechnic University.
Zhang Tong won the Taiwan International Graphic Design Award Grand Prize and other professional awards such as The Five Lotus Awards at the Poster Design Exhibition in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Macao handover and the Silver Award at the Kan Tai-keung Design Award in China.
He has been invited and selected to participate in many international exhibitions and competitions included the Milano Design Week, Beijing Design Week, The international poster exhibition in Peru, the Asia Graphic Design Triennial, Trnava poster Triennial in Slovakia and The International Triennial of the Political Poster Show in Belgium just to name a few.
“This poster is my Shandong University of Art & Design lecture poster. Screen characters are oriental mythical young hero the Chinese ancient mythical figure “Na Zha”. He has innate physical basis, a good learning environment and a variety of fighting techniques, his upbringing and designers experience is very similar. I suggest that designers have to learn from him, to make a design hero.” says Zhang Tong.
