Breast cancer is the second most common death in women. “I designed this poster to draw attention to the type of cancer among women and to raise awareness. For this purpose, I wanted to use a women’s attire, the bra. This bra for our breasts which we use almost everyday, made me think about the cancer that might have grasped our breasts. Designing the bra as a mask created two kinds of perception. One of which is a monster that might have infested breasts, and the other is the Batman, who can overcome any obstacle. What this poster tries to communicate is that if you diagnose early, you can defeat this relentless disease and you can become your own hero. Or if you ignore it, you will fall victim to this relentless monster” says Didem.
