Poster Monday: Rape is Never the Victim’s Fault
For this Poster Monday spot we featuring the poster “Rape is Never the Victim’s Fault” designed by Ágnes Rozmann a graphic designer living and working in born in Budapest (Hungary). She teach graphic design at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where obtained her Master’s Degree in Graphics and Visual Art Education and a Doctoral Degree in Fine Arts.
Ágnes tell us “My poster Rape is Never the Victim’s Fault was made for the call of the 16th International Poster Biennial in Mexico. When the theme of a poster is violence, the most usual concept is to shock the viewer by visualising aggressivity in some way. As I’ve seen so far, the daily news we all watch has made most of us indifferent to the visuals of misery, pain, and excruciation. That’s why I have chosen to depict the beauty and vulnerability of the female body. I think it is a more effective way to call people’s attention to this serious issue in the vast jungle of shocking everyday news. I got First Prize in Category D for this poster at the 16th International Poster Biennial in Mexico in 2021”.
