Poster Monday: Rich & Poor
Salome Koshkadze from Tbilisi, Georgia is in our first Poster Monday spot of the day for her poster entitled “Rich & Poor”. Salome graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, she has more than 10 years of experience in field of design and advertising working as a freelancer and for companies such as the Bank of Georgia. Currently she runs a small creative studio “”ideaLIST” which is actively involved on working in social problems in order to make them more visible.
Salome has been featured in many international and local poster competitions and exhibitions, to name a few; Recolor Somalia, Green+You: Poster for Japan, Design Vs. Poverty, Anti AIDS-Ukraine, D&AD New Blood Exhibition 2007, 6th Trnava Poster Triennial and many more. She has received many awards and prizes.
The poster “Rich & poor” was designed for Good 50X70 2009 edition under the brief Healthcare Deprivation. “This topic is very sensible for me because in my country there are many people who have no money for treatment and they end up dying. I believe if a poster is strong enough, it has to be like a shot. In this poster I tried to reach this goal, to do a clear and visible image which could touch a wide audience.” comments Salome.
