Poster Monday: Spiritual Food
The first Poster Monday spot of May goes to Kata Káldor for her poster “Spiritual Food” a great poster to remind the World Book Day (April 23). Kata is from Hungary and studies at the Secondary School of Visual Arts, which were continued in the Applied Graphics department of the Iparművészeti Főiskola. In the 80’s she focused on exhibition graphics (as a contractor for HUNGEXPO, Magyar Hirdető, and external trade companies), and now is mainly interested in three-dimensional and spatial graphic designs. Kata’s posters have been exhibited in multiple places around the world, selected and awarded among the best in the collections 1917-2017 in Russia; Turn a Light On, Mexico; Peruvian Design Biennial – Inernational Poster Competition and several more.
The concept of the poster “Spiritual Food” is very simple: “I think that in order to live – we need bread and water, the book, the reading – like, the bread, the brain is dead without food – the food in the book” says Kata.
