Poster Monday: To Look Inside (Hamlet)
The first Poster Monday spot of this week goes to Erick Ginard for the poster To Look Inside (Hamlet). Erick studied Visual Communication Design in Havana where he was born. Currently he works as a freelance designer in Mexico City.
The poster To Look Inside (Hamlet) presents a new and minimalist Hamlet play created by Paper Theater Collective, a small independent theater company based in Hollywood. They needed a poster to reflect the essence of this modern version of a classic: what lies inside the main character in the play. A folded piece of paper inspired by the name of the company becomes the center of the composition, supported by the phrase that governs this psychological staging, a bent man looking inside himself and losing his head with this action.
“I think that a bentman looking inside himself and losing his head with this action may be a decent approach to the subject/theme… but, it’s just my opinion.” says Erick.
