Poster Monday: Uninvolved
For this Poster Monday spot we are featuring a poster designed by Musab Abdullah Gungor entitled “Uninvolved”. Musab was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and is a student of graphic design at Yeditepe University.
The poster “Uninvolved” intends to create awareness by reacting to the world and the UN that can’t hear the screams of innocent people. In today’s world, we witness wars which cost people’s lives, especially children who are massacred everywhere. So what is our world’s reaction to these wars? What are the sanctions? And if there are sanctions is it enough that it can save lives? Violence and conflict in the Middle East and North Africa endanger the health of 24 million children. Beyond bombs, bullets and explosions, many children are dying in silence of easily preventable diseases that could be treated. “For my poster I used a signboard hanged on a United Nations camp for refugees”. Musab transformed what was previously written as “a place reserved for peace” to “Uninvolved in peace”. “The soldier who was assigned to keep the peace left and the refugees felt insecure” says Musab.
If you would like to submit a poster to be featured on Poster Mondays find all the info you need to participate on our submissions page.
