Poster Monday: Venice
The Poster Monday spot of the days belongs to Marco Natolli, an italian Graphic Design born in Venice, in northern Italy, He belong to a large family with a centuries-old tradition of goldsmiths, gallery owners and carpenters. Marco founding Sushi Design Studio. Today play a permanent role as designer for a distribution network of luxury finishes in the Americas, take care of the visual communication of an Austrian private jet airline, make a monthly gaming magazine. In his free time he dedicated to create social posters for exhibitions all over the world.
The poster “Venice” tell about Acqua Alta, this phenomenon occurs when certain events coincide; the high tide forms an alliance with low pressures and that their windy friend, Sirocco, participates with our friend the Moon. These elements together trigger the across-the-board flood of waters of the lagoon in Venice. This November the city of Venice has suffered the worst floods in several decades, endangering great cultural treasures
The poster was designed to raise awareness on this situation and to stimulate people to at least try to change it. The concept of the poster “Venice” is accord to Marco: “The water gets wet, the sun dries” a call to the awareness that this and other types of natural disasters can be avoided with the cooperation of all.
