Poster Monday: Wisdom and Strength
For the first Poster Monday spot of the day we are featuring a graphic designer from Zacatlan, Puebla, Jorge González Morales. He was born in Zacatlán, Mexico, a lover of art and letters, he is passionate about drawing eyes, graphic designer from the “Universidad de Oriente del Estado de Puebla (UO)”, currently a professor at the “Universidad Alianza Hispana” in Chignahuapan., Puebla., Mexico, in the careers of Graphic Design, Advertising and Marketing, also teaching some subjects in the Gastronomy Degree, he makes political cartoons for regional media in Zacatlán and Tlaxcala on television and radio. Active member of the International Design collectives; Red Internacional de Creadores Visuales A.C., Mexico, of Borderless Graphic Designers in Canada and the PosterIran collective in Iran.
His specialty is the poster and illustration, it has been published in various countries such as: Peru, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Spain, Malaysia, China, Peru, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, Cuba, Poland, United Arab Emirates, Bolivia, Iran, Venezuela, Ecuador, Italy, Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay, has served as jury of poster contests for countries such as: Taiwan, Malaysia and Mexico.
The poster we are featuring here today entitled “Wisdom and Strength” was designed for the event “The worm of the city”, in China; exhibition against Covid-19, the intention of the image was to show that ancient wisdom of Chinese culture through a representation like the dragon and through the force that it carries its genetics as a country to face COVID-19.
