Swiss Grid Student Design Competition 2020
The Consulate General of Switzerland in New York is pleased to announce its very own
student design competition in partnership with Poster House. The Consulate is looking for
original student work which showcases and uses the Swiss Grid as its primary design
tool. The content of the poster is free for the designer to choose but the Swiss Grid must
be visible and obvious. Work created as part of a class is encouraged and accepted.
Three winners will be selected by a panel of design experts from Poster House and the
Consulate General of Switzerland in New York and rewarded with cash prizes of $1,000 for
the first place, $800 for the second, and $500 for the third. In addition, the Consulate will
commission original design work from the first place winner for a future project during
the 2021 calendar year.
Furthermore, a selection of the ten best posters will be exhibited for a six month period in
the Consulate General’s lobby during the 2021 year.
Submissions will be accepted until December 15th 2020 at 12 pm. The cash prize winners
will be announced after December 18th 2020 and receive their prize before the close of the
year.
Designers selected to exhibit in the Consulate’s lobby will be contacted in January.
