Nuevas Gráficas exhibition in Monterrey
Since July 17th the exhibition “Nuevas Gráficas” (New graphics) has been exhibited inside Fundidora Park, one of the greatest venues in Monterrey, Mexico. The exhibition, curated by Luis Lizaola (aka Razor Master Printer), features the winning posters from the Segunda llamada 2013 competition (with the topic of Responsible handling of plastic waste), a sample of posters from Mexico city´s reknown silkscreen printing studio Color 75 grados, posters from local Monterrey artists, T-shirts printed by Razor Master printer, Stencil work by Simon Barsiniestro and last but not least Comic artwork by one of Mexico´s top artists: Edgar Clement.
Parallel to the exhibition and for more than 2 months different graphic design workshops, lectures and live silkscreen printings were held by the exhibition participants in Graficante gallery and the arts school Adolfo Prieto. Due to its great success, Nuevas Gráficas will be a yearly event featuring the best of graphic arts from Monterrey, Mexico and various other countries in upcoming years.
