Six Degrees, Six Posters
In 2009, the visual artist and design agency EcoLabs created these series of posters based on the book “Six Degrees” by Mark Lynas. The book describes step by step some of the possible effects of global warming. In the first two chapters the author presents the permissible effects supposing the temperature would rise 1 or 2 degrees. Then it continues creating possible scenarios until it reaches the dramatic consequences of a 6 degrees temperature increment. The last chapter concludes with recommendations on how to prevent this terrible consequences.
This project was designed to have a positive influence on the collective visual culture and provide a guide for society on how to seek a more responsible life style for the community and the environment. EcoLabs continue their work focusing primarily on ecologic and social themes.
