“The Artist and the Poster” exhibition
The Municipal Exhibition Hall of the Museum of Passion of Valladolid is hosting the exhibition The artist and the poster. From Picasso to Andy Warhol, featuring a hundred posters made by great masters of the art of the last two centuries, including names like Toulouse-Lautrec, Pierre Bonnard, Picasso, Dali, Miro, Magritte, Matisse, Malevich, Chagall and Barceló, among others.
The exhibition brings together a unique selection of posters that can be seen for the first time in Valladolid, a set of 94 works that make up an incomparable cast and belong to the Collection Jose Luis Rupérez. It traces a chronological journey from the nineteenth century to this day, by the hand of the most outstanding artists of each period. Thus we see that beyond their usual artistic expressions, the creators have maintained a continuous and fruitful relationship with the medium of the poster over time.
The exhibition will be on display until June 12, 2016. So if you visit Spain make sure to check it out!
