Poster Monday: Albe Steiner
For the first Poster Monday spot of the day we have a poster coming from Turkey entitled “Albe Steiner” designed by Orhan Ardahanli, a previously Poster Poster featured designer. Orhan was born in Turkey in 1979. He has a MBA in Graphic Design from the Atatürk University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic. He works as a creative director in Arkes and as an educator at his former university. Currently he is a member of the Turkey Professional Organization of Graphic Artists.
This poster was designed for a poster exhibition in honour to Albe Steiner’s birthday. Albe Steiner was a famous graphic designer who was born in 1913 in Milan. With this poster Orhan wanted to show Albe’s background combined with the celebration.
“Used 2 symbol on poster. First the eye symbol over the birthday candle as a representation for Graphic Design. The eye is the most important tool for a designer and in second place is the birthday candle. I like using simple lines and shapes on my works because by doing that I can emphasize the main idea significantly” says Orhan.
If you would like to see more proyects from Orhan visit his previous post on Poster Monday as well as his personal website at orhanardahanli.com.
