Blues & Roots is an album by Charles Mingus, recorded in 1959 and “it’s an album that I have returned to time and again. I picked it up once more when I decided to work on a self-initiated graphic design project; I applied a contemporary language, stemming from my tools and visual literacy, to create an image for the consumption of music from 1959, in the present” tell us Sijya.
If you would like to know more about Sijya and know a little more about her work you can follow you can follow her on instagram and her web page.
