Poster Monday: Squeezer
This Poster Monday spot comes from a previously featured designer. For this first spot we have the poster “Squeezer” designed by Vincenzo Fagnani, a Berlin based graphic designer born in Italy in 1984.
The idea behind the poster starts from the analysis of the one-sided relationship between the North and the South of the world, but it is also a more general thought about the overexploitation of natural resources for humanity’s purposes. It is a poster about the vision of a world made as it only suited humans. The concept is depicted by combining few, simple and easily recognizable elements. All started with sketches of course.
“Squeezer” is a second version with no typography from the original poster entitled “North – South” selected in many competitions. Vincenzo also wanted to have a more photographic version of this idea so he also developed a third version (nothing is close/finished in this digital art era) of the poster by using the same vector base but integrated with a picture of the globe. Ultimately, he painted a cardboard with acrylic colors to create the effect of a starred sky.
