POSTER MONDAY: Cycle
For the last Poster Monday of October we featuring the poster “Cycle” designed by Pepo Almonte, from Mexico. He was born in Durango, México it’s a multidisciplanary designer, have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and a postgraduate degree in Science and Arts for Design where he won the Academic Merit Medal, as a designer he has more than twenty-five years of practice; his posters have been exhibited in more than hundred collections around the world.
The poster “Cycle” It is part of the Calacarteles 6 collection dedicated to celebrating the Day of the Dead; In Mexico, death is seen as a part of life and is celebrated in a mixture of veneration and celebration full of colors and Christian and pre-Hispanic symbolism. The poster reaches people through the eyes but it recreates in thought, touches emotions and ideas, becoming an accomplice of people in the message.
