“Count Every Vote” is the poster that we are featuring for this Poster Monday edition and was created during the 2020 US Presidential Election, President Donald Trump continually discouraged voting by mail with an insistence that it encouraged voter fraud. The main image is a vector-base visual interpretation of The White House, the residence of the President of the United States, depicted as a US style curbside postal mailbox with the red flag up. The force-connected image is then placed on a non-canceled postage stamp with the numeral 20. The raised red flag on a mailbox indicates that there is outgoing mail inside the mailbox. Ironically, President Trump himself votes by mail. The message is clear that all legitimate votes should be counted, including all those that may have been cast by mail. In a free society is important for designers to communicate social dissonance to improve our democracy. Freedom should never be taken for granted.
