Skopje Poster 7th International Student Competition
Last week the winners of Skopje’s 7th International Student Poster Competition #DesignforPeace were announced. The goal of this poster competition is to create and promote concept of Peace and human rights. To encourage people, both in and outside the design and cultural community, to the movement of peace. The competition invited undergraduate and graduate students of fine arts, design and visual arts to send their work. They received a total of 2023 submissions from all over the world with the first prizes going to Ferhat Tunc and Aslihan Tatligil from Turkey, and Johanna Pedarnig from Denmar.The prizes include participation in the 2015 Jury for the 8th Skopje Poster Festival with fully covered expenses, the organization of poster exhibition in MKC Gallery 2015 and an ICOGRADA Certificate.
Other winners of the competition were: Evrim Aktepe (Turkey) who received the Icograda excellence award and honorary mentions by Zhang Yichi (China), Marija Dimitrievska (Macedonia), Mary Yudina (Russia), Amadeus Fronk (Denmark), Megan M. Brajkovich (United States), Mingliang Li (China) and Hrant Petrosyan (Armenia).
The finalist and winners posters are now exhibited at the MKC Skopje and will be on display until December 20th. The exhibition also features the posters created by “Designers vs Kids”, a project where kids drawings were used for posters made by professional designers.
