Poster Monday: Her Too
This Poster Monday spot of the week goes to Lahav Halevy for his poster “Her Too” A good poster to remind #MeToo is a social movement that has broken with a culture of silence in the face of sexual harassment. Lahav Halevy is graduated the Graphic Design department in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem where teach nowadays. Lahav have a branding studio BlueCollar Group in Tel Aviv and design posters for more than 25 years, participating in exhibitions and Biennales: Warsaw, Lahti, Mons, Moscow, Ningbo, Zurich, even won the Golden Bee 12.
This poster was done few days after the beginning of the #MeToo campaign, to show solidarity with the issue, and with the struggle of women all over the world in general. It was already printed in three different editions of 1,000 copies each, in the last year and a half, now spread in about 40 businesses around Tel Aviv, people take a copy and leave a donation as they see fit. All the money goes to The Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel. “I thought of my position as a male designer in such a delicate issue, what my contribution can be, came to this concept, and then designed it in one hour” says Lahav.
